What moves your people to act?

The story that moves people to act is the one that touches their heart. I help people find that story in their life.

What moves your people to act? I'm Kathryn Christensen — motivational speaker, trainer, and author. I don't hand you my story and call it done. I help you uncover the one that's already yours — the “why” that turns “we'll get to it” or “I wish I could” into “right now.” The why that turns “yeah, it's important” into “I'll do whatever it takes!”

“Finding your WHY matters more now than ever before.”

Why I do this

Hope and direction.

Years ago, I sold Zig Ziglar's personal coaching program, and I asked him a simple question: “Tell me the one thing you want people to get from it.”

He said, “I can't” — the pause seemed to last forever and made my heart sink, then he finished his statement — “Because there are two. Hope and direction. With them, they can do anything. Without them, they will do nothing.”

That answer changed my life in so many ways. It's still what I aim for on stage — not a lecture, but a story that leaves people with both.

You and I can do anything we set our minds to — if we want it bad enough.

The key to it actually working is alignment. Does it fit your core values? Does it match who you are — and how you want to be remembered? When the answer is yes, the next question is: what will you do to make it happen? The answer becomes “whatever it takes.” It doesn't trample over your values — it embraces them.

The gap

Most teams have the data. What they don't have is the story.

Statistics inform. Stories move. The difference between a room that hears a message and one that acts on it is almost never the data — it's whether someone made it real. That's the gap. And that's what I close.
